What size storage unit do I need?
This is one of the most common questions we are asked at Ladysmith Storage Centre. Below is a helpful chart to help determine the approximate size storage unit you require.

5'x10' walk in closet One bedroom apartment including couch, chair, chest or dresser, mattress plus boxes or small items.
10'x10' regular size bedroom One or two bedroom apartment, including appliances, and several small items such as bags or boxes.
10'x15' large bedroom Two or three bedroom house plus appliances, lawn furniture and many boxes.
10'x20' single car garage Three or four bedroom house plus appliances, lawn furniture and many boxes. This size storage unit is appropriate for storing vehicles or small boats.

What is your refund policy?
Ladysmith Storage Centre will refund unused prepaid months of rent upon vacating if 30 days notice is given.
Do I need content insurance or does my home insurance protect my belongings in self storage?
You need specific content insurance. Home or business insurance may cover items stored away from your insured premises for a length of time. Please contact your insurance agent for more information.
What is your cancellation policy?
Generally, customers can reserve self storage space with no money down. During peak seasons, a deposit of $50 may be requested. This deposit will not be refunded if we hold the unit and the reservation is cancelled. Otherwise, the deposit is applied to your first month's rent.
Does Ladysmith Storage Centre require security deposits? Are they refundable?
For regular indoor storage units there is a $20 damage deposit. Damage deposits will be refunded when you vacate your unit provided there is no damage to the unit.
